Bill Rancic will work with Ridley Scott’s production company, Scott Free, to produce a new realty series called ‘Training Day.’

Rancic got his big TV break after winning the first season of Donald Trump’s ‘The Apprentice.’  In 2009, he produced ‘Giuliana and Bill,’ a reality series about his sometimes long-distance relationship with his wife. The show is about how a career-driven couple strives to maintain a healthy marriage.

These jobs range from ice road truckers, to working as a member of SWAT a team. Rancic will need to prove he can keep up and perform at a level suitable for a particular job.

‘Training Day’ sounds similar to shows like ‘Dirty Jobs’ and ‘Ed’s Up!’ The main difference will be a focus on the preparation that goes into performing one of these difficult jobs.

Rancic is in good shape for the physical aspect of the show. He and his wife have taken part in the Chicago Marathon each of the past few years.

For scripted TV, Scott Free Productions has done good work producing ‘The Good Wife,’ ‘Numb3ers,’ and ‘The Pillars of the Earth.’ For unscripted TV, Scott Free recently produced ‘Crimes of the Century,’ a series for CNN.

What are some intense jobs that you would like to see Bill Rancic train for in ‘Training Day’?
