James Franco announced via his Twitter account, @JamesFrancoTV, that he will be involved with a new show.
The ‘Freaks and Geeks’ actor was vague, but said that the announcement about the show is due to come sometime Wednesday.
Early Tuesday he tweeted, “They don't want me to say the channel yet, don't know why. But I guess you'll find out Wednesday.” With it he posted a picture via Instagram. Scrawled over the painting of a modified Mona Lisa (left) are the words: “New TV show about art duuuh.”
Hours later he tweeted more. “New show, with me, and a
bunch of crazy stuff. Announcement tomorrow.” With that tweet was a picture of Vincent Van Gogh’s famous self-portrait (right) with Franco’s face superimposed. Over that picture were the words, “New TV show: James Franco Presents.”
Franco made light about his own obsession with art in Seth Rogen’s recent summer movie, ‘This is the End.’
Franco has been involved in varied projects over the past few years, and remains one of the busiest workers in the industry. He had an S&M short film at Sundance earlier this year, he has crowdfunded to adapt his book ‘Palo Alto Stories’ into a three-part film, and he will soon be the subject of a Comedy Central roast.
