It’s a good day when you hear the fabulous Jim Beaver has booked yet another guest-spot! TVLine just exclusively revealed that Beaver will appear in an episode of ‘Revolution’ Season 2 this fall.
According to TVLine, ‘Revolution’ creator Eric Kripke explained that Beaver will play actor John Franklin Fry, “a hard-ass, whip smart Texas Ranger who allies with Miles [Billy Burke].” He will first appear in the episode titled “One Riot, One Ranger,” which airs mid-October.
Besides getting to see Beaver play a "cowboy," the other great aspect is he gets to reunite with ‘Supernatural’ creator Kripke and ex-’Supernatural’ writer/producer Ben Edlund, who is ‘Revolution’s latest consulting producer. This also marks Edlund’s first time writing on the series.
Today, Beaver tweeted a photo of himself dressed up as a cowboy (left), “Playing cowboy is the second most fun thing in the world.” I’m not sure if this is for ‘Revolution’ or another role, but it’s a great preview of what fans can probably expect from Beaver on the NBC hit drama.
Beaver followers can also expect him to show up on this season of ‘Supernatural’ as everybody’s favorite father-figure/hunter Bobby Singer. As we reported in July, Beaver tweeted about his upcoming appearance, and fans went wild.
No official word on how or when Bobby will return, but as long as he’s coming back that’s all that matters! According to executive producer Jeremy Carver, Bobby will show up in a way fans won’t expect or guess. Hmm...very intriguing.
