WATCH: First Look at Ziva’s ‘NCIS’ Departure, Season 11 Premiere
Pull out the tissues! Here is the very first look at the ‘NCIS’ Season 11 premiere, as posted by ETOnline.com, titled “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”, and boy it’s going to be a doozy thanks to Ziva (Cote de Pablo) leaving the team.
As you can see from the promo -- and as promised by executive producer Gary Glasberg -- the episode looks to focus quite a bit on Tiva (Tony + Ziva). At the beginning, Tony (Michael Weatherly) utters, “Talk to me, Ziva. Where are you?” Then, Gibbs is heard saying, “Make sure she’s ok.”
After that we see explosions, gunfire and a hurt former NCIS director played by Alan Dale. He informs Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) that Ziva is the next target.
The most touching moment is of Ziva and Tony surrounded by trees. She touches his scruffy face (which looks great in my book) and tells him, “Don’t worry Tony. It will be ok.”
It will definitely be a sad couple of episodes.
This past July it was announced that de Pablo would depart the series. She told Entertainment Tonight, “I've had 8 great years with ‘NCIS’ and Ziva David. I have huge respect and affection for Mark, Gary, Michael, David, Rocky, Pauley, Brian, Sean, all of the team and CBS. I look forward to finishing Ziva's story.”
Are you going to miss Ziva?
Tune in on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c for the beginning of Ziva’s farewell.
