Actor Jason O’Mara is coming back to CBS and this time around it’s for a recurring role on the hit drama ‘The Good Wife’ starring Julianna Margulies.
According to Deadline, who first broke the casting news, O’Mara will play Colin, “a wild-eyed Irish attorney who has spent a decade successfully defending gang members and crime families. Now he’s looking for a home at a corporate law firm like Lockhart/Gardner where he clashes with the more conservative culture.”
Raise your hand if you’re excited to see O’Mara play a lawyer. For those who don't know, O'Mara hails from Ireland, so it's likely he'll get a chance to let that Irish accent shine!
O’Mara hasn’t been shy about his latest role. Recently, he tweeted his excitement, “Thrilled with the prospect of working with my #InJustice friends Robert & Michelle King on @TheGoodWife_CBS - my first Irish role on US TV!”
As O’Mara fans know, the talented actor is no stranger to the small screen nor is this the first time he’s worked with ‘The Good Wife’ creators Robert & Michelle King -- like the actor stated above. The three worked together on ABC’s ‘In Justice,’ where O’Mara played investigator Charles Conti. Kyle MacLachlan and Constance Zimmer also starred.
In addition, just last year he played Deputy Jack Lamb on the short-lived CBS drama ‘Vegas,’ and O’Mara’s also recognized as Jim Shannon on the late ‘Terra Nova.’
You can catch ‘The Good Wife’ season premiere on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9/8c.
