‘Hannibal’ fans were excited to hear the delicious NBC hit would be back for another season. Well, the second season is going to get even sexier, as ‘Sex and the City’ star Cynthia Nixon is joining the series in a recurring role.
According to TVLine, who first broke the casting news, Nixon will portray Kade Prurnell, who works for the Office of the Inspector General in FBI Oversight. She pops up to investigate what went down during the first season, and to also look into Jack Crawford’s (Laurence Fishburne) accountability.
Another big star and an extremely talented musician might also be joining ‘Hannibal.' Who? It is none other than David Bowie. As we reported back in June, ‘Hannibal’ executive producer Bryan Fuller reached out to Bowie and offered him the role of Hannibal’s (Madds Mikkelsen) uncle. Bowie has yet to respond.
Who wants to see Nixon and Bowie cross paths on the delectable show? Now that would make good TV.
Since ‘Sex and the City,’ Nixon hasn’t been shy about showing up on the small screen. She’s been spotted on ‘ER,’ ‘House M.D.,’ ‘The Big C’ and ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,’ which earned her a 2008 Emmy win for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
‘Hannibal’ is said to return midseason. Are you excited to see Nixon back in action?
