Everybody’s favorite vampire hunter and Mystic Falls hottie is heading to Sin City. That’s right, Matt Davis is joining CBS’ ‘CSI’ Season 14 in a recurring role, TVLine has just reported.
Davis joins the long-running Las Vegas based series as “a smart, athletic and competitive son of a decorated fireman. While on the surface outgoing, he is deep down a bit of a loner, with the soul of a poet and the mind of a mathematician.” In my opinion, Davis seems like the perfect fit for this role.
As stated above, Davis is known for playing history teacher/supernatural hunter Alaric Saltzman on The CW’s ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ After his role came to a shocking and saddening end, he then transferred to another CW series, ‘Cult.’ Unfortunately, he found zero luck on the series, as it was canceled in the midst of its first season.
In other ‘CSI’ news, original cast member Marg Helgenberger will be back for the 300th episode as Catherine Willows, while George Eads will take a short break from his Nick Stoke’s character, after having a disagreement with the writers.
Expect to see Davis pop up in late October. Do you think he will make a good addition to ‘CSI’?
The CBS forensic drama is back with new episodes Wednesday, Sept. 25.
