CBS and ABC split the victory last night, although Monday Night Football simulcasts on ABC in several markets and US Open induced primetime delays on CBS caused larger than average week to week changes for a few shows.
A rougly thirty minute delay caused 'Under the Dome' to dip by a staggering six tenths, setting a new series low of 2.1. ABC's 'Mistresses' also suffered a disappointing drop, falling three tenths to a 1.1. The heavily hyped premiere of 'The Million Second Quiz' did decently, but its 1.7 demo still has to be a huge disappointment to NBC.
From online ads, to TV commercials, to radio spots, to even the addictive iPhone app, it has been impossible to escape the promotional train for this show for weeks now. And it doesn't even draw a 2.0? Color me surprised. 'American Ninja Warrior' maintained its lead-in's 1.7. 'Siberia' drew (shock of shocks) an 0.6. Even less shocking was The CW's 'Breaking Pointe', which stayed at the same 0.2. it's been sitting at for about eight weeks now.
