Here comes the bride. ‘Bones’ fans have been gearing up -- for the past 8 seasons -- for the wedding of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Well, they can finally rejoice, as the upcoming ninth season will showcase the lovebirds marriage.
Warning: if you don’t want to know when the wedding takes place or the special guest-stars appearing, read no further.
According to TVLine, ‘Bones’ creator Hart Hanson said the nuptials “will happen in a way you don’t expect and [at] a time you don’t expect.” Well, Hanson isn’t lying, especially since it’s been revealed that Booth and Brennan’s wedding won’t take place at the end of the season, but will happen as soon as possible aka they’re shooting the episode this week! The episode is rumored to air later this fall.
As if that’s not enough exciting news, this morning, E! Online reported that a very special guest-star will pop up at the highly-anticipated wedding. Just who might that be? If you’re thinking Deschanel’s sister Zooey Deschanel will be reprising her role as Brennan’s cousin, you’re wrong.
In fact, another close family member of Emily’s will attend her character’s nuptials. It’s none other than her real-life hubby, actor/writer David Hornsby! Reportedly, he’ll be starring as a priest who just might marry Booth and Brennan.
Boreanaz himself even hinted at Hornsby’s reported role, "It's exciting because we have some great guests. Some surprise guests. We don't actually know who may be marrying the two of us. That could be the biggest question out there and you have to really think hard about this one. I'll give you one hint. The person who is going to marry us is close to one of the cast members."
The actor also teased that Cyndi Lauper will be singing at the wedding. Funnily enough, the critically-acclaimed singer also starred in two ‘Bones’ episodes as Angela’s (Michaela Conlin) psychic.
The ‘Bones’ Season 9 premiere is right around the corner -- it airs Monday, Sept. 16 at 8/7c on FOX.
