‘Supernatural’ Season 9 Promo: Death Returns, Sam’s Life Hangs in the Balance

‘Supernatural’ Season 9 Promo: Death Returns, Sam’s Life Hangs in the Balance

‘Supernatural’ is back! Who’s excited to see the Winchester men back on the small screen? I know I am! Well, we have our very first glimpse of Season 9 -- and boy, does it look intense.

As you can see from the promo posted below, this season doesn’t look to be any less stressful than previous seasons. From Sam being in a hospital bed to Dean, once again, worrying about his brother’s life to Death popping up, Season 9 just might prove to be even more chaotic and life-threatening for the Winchesters.

Here are just a few highlights from the promo:

-Dean yelling at a doctor, “Are you trying to tell me that my brother’s life is in God’s hands?”

-Abaddon basically declaring war by stating all the angels will bow to her or they’ll burn.

-Castiel looking lost and walking around aimlessly.

-Dean punching Sam...again.

-A glimpse of Crowley.

-Death saying to Sam, “Hello, Sam, I’ve been waiting for you.”

-What looks to be a fallen angel healing both Dean and Sam.

Let’s discuss that last bullet. If the angels have fallen, do they still have healing powers? As we all know, Castiel is said to be human this season, so maybe that isn’t a fallen angel aiding the boys? Or, do you think Dean made another deal -- possibly with Death -- to keep his younger brother alive? Sound off in the comments and let us know your thoughts on the promo!

‘Supernatural’ returns Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 9/8c on The CW.
