FOX won Wednesday night in all measures.
The third season premiere of 'The X-Factor' went tumbling down a cliff, falling nearly a point and a half from last year's first outing. The singing competition series even managed to lose the 8pm timeslot (albeit barely) to an episode of CBS 'Big Brother.' While FOX did still win the night, a big part of that was the 'MasterChef' finale, which rose two tenths from last week and was only slightly down from last year's swan song. This could either be a fluke, or a bad omen for 'X-Factor's third season.
The aforementioned 'Big Brother' dropped a tenth to a 2.2 for CBS. 'The Million Second Quiz' continued its downward trend, falling three tenths to a 1.2. The bad lead-in didn't help 'America's Got Talent', which tied its previous season low. 'Camp' also tied its previous series low at 10pm. Try as NBC might, nothing seems to be working for the ol' Peacock.
