2013 Creative Arts Emmy Results, Including Bob Newhart's First Ever Win

The 2013 "Creative Arts" Emmy Awards were presented yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles. For anyone unaware, this ceremony mostly honors the behind-the-scenes folks that aren't deemed worthy of getting the spotlight at the primetime version of the Emmys. Although, this is certainly partly done to prevent the Emmy telecast from being eight hours long.

The biggest highlight of the night was easily the long-awaited first Emmy win for comedy legend Bob Newhart. Newhart had been nominated six times previously for his work on 'The Bob Newhart Show,' but had never taken home a golden statue. The 84-year-old received a standing ovation from the live crowd, and accepted the award with tears in his eyes. Later in the night, Newhart confirmed that he would be returning to 'The Big Bang Theory' this season, either as Professor Proton or someone new.

The biggest individual winners of the night included, 'Behind the Candelabra' (8 wins), 'Boardwalk Empire' (4 wins), and 'Saturday Night Live' (3 wins). To the shock of no one, HBO pulled in the most wins as a network, capturing 20 Emmys. Notably, 'House of Cards' picked up the first two Emmys for Netflix as a TV channel. Well, technically they're a web service, but you get the idea. Presented below is a partial list of notable winners.
