Who better to take a stumble down the psychedelic rabbit hole than the godfather of punk rock? Entertainment Weekly has learned that Iggy Pop is the most recent cast member to join the ranks in ABC's all-new 'Once Upon a Time' spin-off, 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.'
So who exactly will the punk legend be playing? Pop will take on playing the voice of the hookah-smoking, question-asking caterpillar. Sounds pretty fitting, right?
As you may recall, this insect has already recently been voiced by another rock god, Roger Daltrey, when the original 'Once Upon a Time' dropped into Wonderland during Season 1's episode 'Hat Trick.' However, it appears Daltrey was unavailable for the new series, so the part was recast to Mr. Pop. We're sure he's more than up for the role. In fact, some might even say he was born to play it. Perhaps fans can even look forward to a song or two? We doubt a singing caterpillar would be thought of as too far-fetched (it is Wonderland after all).
Other 'Wonderland' character voices include the likes of John Lithgow as the White Rabbit and veteran actor Keith David, who was recently cast as the voice of the mischievous Cheshire Cat.
Are you excited for this latest cast addition? Be sure to tune in and watch the magic unfold for the 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' series premiere on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c on ABC.
