Goodbyes are never easy, but AMC is doing its best to give fans as much 'Breaking Bad' goodness (or rather, badness) as it can before the series closes its meth-making doors for good on September 29. The network has recently announced that the show's final two episodes will be expanded by an extra 15 minutes each.
Do you hear that? That's the sound of 'Bad' fans collectively screaming "Yeah, bitch!" into their computer screens.
Normally an episode runs around the 60-minute mark, including commercial breaks. So with the new expansion, viewers will be gifted with 75 glorious minutes of jam-packed 'Breaking Bad' action. Not a bad deal, if you ask us.
The show’s co-executive producer Peter Gould broke the news on Twitter last night, urging fans to “set your DVRs accordingly. Better still, watch live!”
But the news doesn't stop there. AMC also unveiled a final farewell poster to help promote the drama's series finale. But in truth, it reads more like a love letter to all its dedicated fans who stuck by Walt until the bitter end. And though it's always hard to watch any great show to come to an end, it sure has been one hell of a ride. Like the poster reads: it really was all in the chemistry. And being bad has never felt quite so good.
Be sure not to miss the final two extended episodes of 'Breaking Bad' on Sunday, Sept. 22 and 29 starting at 9/8c on AMC.
