‘Fringe’ fans will jump for joy when they hear this exciting news: John Noble is reuniting with FOX on the network’s new series ‘Sleepy Hollow,’ Deadline has just reported.
Noble, who is most memorable for his role as Walter Bishop on ‘Fringe,’ will star in a major recurring role. He will play Henry Parrish, “a kind and reclusive man who possesses supernatural powers that have the potential to help the series’ protagonist, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).” Expect Noble to appear sometime later in the season.
Not only is Noble reuniting with FOX, but also with ‘Fringe’ co-creators Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, who currently executive produce ‘Sleepy Hollow.’ Noble fans can also expect him to reprise his role as Matthew Ashbaugh on this season of the CBS drama ‘The Good Wife.’
This isn’t the only exciting news for the freshman FOX series. This week it was announced that ‘True Blood’ alum James Frain would also be joining the show as Rutledge, who will not only interrogate Ichabod about his past, but will seriously impact Ichabod’s life and future.
‘Sleepy Hollow’ premiered last week with strong numbers: 10.1 million viewers. This marks FOX’s biggest opening for a fall drama in seven years!
I can only imagine how well the show will do once Noble and Frain both appear. ‘Sleepy Hollow’ airs Mondays at 9/8c.
