WATCH: ‘Ravenswood’ Official Trailer Showcases Supernatural Elements
It’s here! The official trailer of ‘Ravenswood,’ spin-off to ABC Family’s hit series ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ has finally been released and it’s far from the lying, murder, arrests and affairs that flow through the city of Rosewood.
As you can see from the trailer below, which was first released by TVLine, a new mystery draws Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to town, and several spooky supernatural elements are showcased throughout, like a dark figure hiding behind a curtain, someone getting suffocated with a shower curtain and a possible ‘Carrie’/’I Know What You Did Last Summer’ beauty queen moment. This definitely isn’t Rosewood anymore.
It looks like Caleb might have/had a doppleganger (is this Mystic Falls?), the cemetery seems to be one of the main settings, and we also get to see Caleb shirtless in a bathtub...but it’s not as relaxing as it sounds.
‘Ravenswood’ is about five strangers bound by a curse who start to research the town and its mysteries. The town, as the trailer states, is “where the darkness comes to life.” Who just got chills? The series is created by PLL showrunner I. Marlene King and executive producers Oliver Goldstick and Joseph Dougherty.
Check out the trailer for yourself. ‘Ravenswood’ premieres Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 9/8c, right after the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween special.
