A lot of things happened during last week's season premiere of 'Glee': Kurt and Blaine got engaged, Rachel auditioned for the Broadway role of a lifetime, and Artie was getting some serious lady love (about time!). But most importantly, the gang paid tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time — The Beatles.
And the fun isn't over yet. Thanks to this two-part tribute, the McKinley crew will tackle six more Beatles numbers, including “Hey Jude” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” (You just know these costumes are going to be ridiculously awesome!) But songs aren't the only thing these 'Glee' kids are mimicking.
The cast has released special recreations of some of the band's most iconic albums (originally found on Entertainment Weekly), including interpretations of 'Meet The Beatles' (showcasing Blaine, Tina, Sam and Jake), 'The Beatles' (aka The White Album), 'Abbey Road' (highlighting Blaine, Sam, Artie and Tina), and 'Let It Be' (featuring Santana, Kurt, Will and Marley).
It's fun and creative — pretty much everything 'Glee' represents and definitely not a bad way to kick off the series' fifth season. After all, love 'Glee' is all you need, right?
Check out the multiple album covers above and below, and get ready for another hour of Beatles mania (which also just so happens to be the McKinley prom episode!).
'Glee' returns Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9/8c on FOX. Don't miss it!
