It's time for Patrick Fischler to suit up! 'Suits' has recently cast the actor to play the role of Harvey Specter's newest rival in the second half of the hit show's third season, according to TVLine. The episode is scheduled to air sometime in early 2014.
Not much has been revealed about the plot surrounding Fischler's character, but from what we can gather, this guy's going to be able to go gavel-to-gavel with our beloved legal eagle. Here's what we know thus far — his name is A. Eliot Stemple and he's a former Harvard Law School classmate of Harvey’s with whom he has a unique (and highly tense) history. Sounds like the perfect set up for some courtroom drama!
Many of you are probably thinking that Fischler's face looks extremely familiar, but you may be having a hard time placing him. That's because this guy's been on numerous different TV shows throughout the years, including 'The West Wing,' 'CSI: Miami,' 'Bones,' and 'Californication,' just to name a few.
He also famously played the brash stand up comic Jimmy Barrett on 'Mad Men' back in 2008 and one of the Dharma Initiative security workers on 'Lost' who had numerous run-ins with Sawyer. So yeah, chances are you've definitely seen this guy around.
No word yet on how long Fischler will remain part of the USA Network family, but there's no doubt in our minds that he'll be a force to be reckoned with — even when up against someone like Harvey. No objections here!
