Why Dr. Lecter, what big antlers you have! Season 2 of 'Hannibal' is still months away from dishing out a second course of horror (with a side order of terrifying), but executive producer Bryan Fuller has graciously offered up a little taste of all the delectable trouble that is still to come.
Fuller unveiled the very first teaser poster of the upcoming new season, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which showcases Hannibal Lecter (played by the incredibly talented Mads Mikkelsen) in the form of a horned monster. Look familiar? It should. Because it looks exactly like the scary creature from Wil's dreams. (gulp)
According to Fuller, the image was designed as a way to represent Will's clarity to who his former psychiatrist really is. “After a horrifying descent into madness in Season 1, this image ironically represents the perspective of a scrappier, clearer-minded Will Graham in Season 2," Fuller explains. "The scales have fallen from his eyes and he finally sees Hannibal Lecter for the monster he is.”
Looks like we're finally going to see these two go head-to-head (or maybe in this case, head-to-antler?). Either way, get ready for a second helping of crazy next season. 'Hannibal' will return early next year with 13 brand new episodes beginning with a premiere entitled 'Kaiseki.' However, no official premiere date has been announced.
