FOX Greenlights 'Sleepy Hollow' for a Second Season

Hold onto your heads 'Sleepy Hollow' fans, because the new FOX hit drama has already been picked up for a second season, which means Ichabod Crane and his dreamy accent aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Now let's all breathe a collective sigh of relief.

This marks the network's very first renewal of the fall season. In fact, FOX has already granted the supernatural series a full 13-episode arc instead of the standard back-nine order, which is extemely rare for a new fall show. The show's first season will currently run for 13 episodes and will end midseason, making way for 'The Following.'

And while the news doesn't really come as much of a surprise — the show debuted as the network's highest-rated drama premiere in seven years — it's still nice to make it official. So heads off hats off to FOX on the smart decision making.

“The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking — it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast,” said FOX chairman Kevin Reilly in a statement. “I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into Season Two.” We couldn't agree more.

The series centers around Lt. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) in their quest to take down the Headless Horsemen and prevent the end of the world. No pressure though! So in light of this most recent news, it looks like their journey has only just begun.

I find this show fasinating considering Im a history buff and a firm believer in the book of revalations. however, i would like to see the lead role played by jenny. After all she really is the first witness and whining abbey a guest. But i dare say we know what is going to happen when jenny returns to the institution, the show will go back to being predictable and average. Anyway happy learning and stay clear of the woods.

The first episode didn't really do it for me. Seemed kind of lacking. But am planning on watching all of season one, so definitely hoping for improvements :)

Seems good enough though, so nice with a second season for the show.
