Step aside Nick, Monroe, and Captain Renard, it’s now time for Hank’s turn at real romance. According to TVLine, actress Sharon Leal is joining ‘Grimm’ as a potential love interest for Russell Hornsby’s Hank.
Leal will play Zuri Ellis, a physical therapist and healthcare professional who’s been helping Hank and his bad ankle for about two months. Her character is said to be “smart, beautiful and mysterious.”
If you recall, back in July we reported that Hank’s physical therapist was also said to be Wesen, and her parents weren’t too thrilled with the love connection. So, will the show also make Zuri a creature?
‘Grimm' co-creator David Greenwalt exclusively spoke with TVLine on the matter and revealed, “There’ll be some kind of romantic thing with Hank. We’re not sure if it’s going to be a Wesen girlfriend or not.”
Hmm...interesting. Would you rather see Hank with a human or Wesen love interest? As ‘Grimm’ fans know, when it comes to Hank and Wesen ladies (ahem...Adalind), he hasn’t had the greatest luck or much success. Here’s hoping Zuri is the one to make Hank happy.
Leal isn’t a stranger to the small screen, as she’s appeared in a variety of TV shows including, ‘Guiding Light,’ ‘Hellcats,’ ‘Private Practice’ and ‘Boston Public.’ Fun fact: this isn’t the first time she’s starred alongside Hornsby on TV. In 2011, both appeared in an episode of ‘Suits.’ These two should have no trouble in the chemistry department.
‘Grimm’ Season 3 premieres Friday, Oct. 25 at 9/8c on NBC.
