ABC & CBS split the Wednesday night victory.
'The Middle' continues to hold strong, dropping only a single tenth to a 2.2. 'Back in the Game' fell to a 1.8, but remains on the bubble. 'Modern Family' took a somewhat concerning three tenths fall, posting a 3.9. The real loser of the ABC line-up was 'Super Fun Night,' which took a huge seven tenths plunge to a 2.5 in its second week. 'Nashville' continues to ensure that it won't get a third season, falling down to a 1.6. 'Survivor' dipped two tenths to a 2.5. 'Criminal Minds' dropped a single tenth to a 2.6. 'CSI' fell to a 1.9, matching its previous series low.
'The X-Factor' dropped two tenths for FOX. 'Revolution' continues to flounder in its sophomore season, falling to a 1.5, and coming in dead last at 8pm (among the four major networks). 'Revolution' easily qualifies as the biggest year-to-year disappointment of the season go far, going from being one of the top rated new shows of fall 2012 to a complete afterthought in fall 2013. The bad lead-in adversely effected 'Law & Order: SVU,' which fell four tenths to a 1.6. 'Ironside' dropped to a 1.1 in week two, and it will likely be axed soon. Finally, The CW had a pretty good night. 'Arrow's return was down compared to last year's series premiere, but still did well, and matched the season one finale. 'The Tomorrow People' joins the 'The Originals' in the successful 2013 debut category, very impressively retaining almost all of 'Arrow's audience.
