Primetime Ratings, Thursday, 10/10/13

Glee

CBS once again won Thursday in all measures.

'The Big Bang Theory' continues to dominate, dropping only a single tenth to a 5.1. 'The Millers' did pretty well in week two, dropping three tenths but still posting a 3.0. 'The Crazy Ones' continues to suffer its first week 'Big Bang' lead-in, plummeting half a point to a 2.4. Two weeks ago, I'd have called the show a lock for renewal. Now, it's nearing bubble status. 'Two and a Half Men' set a new series low of 2.3. 'Elementary' dipped to a 1.9, and is skirting the edge of the aforementioned bubble.

The series premiere of 'Once Upon A Time in Wonderland' disappointed in a big way, drawing only a 1.7. That is way down from the debut of now canceled drama 'Last Resort' in the same slot last year, and is the lowest rating for a Thursday fall premiere for ABC since 2010. 'Grey's Anatomy' fell three tenths to a 2.8. As expected, 'Scandal' took a pretty big hit from its abnormally highly rated premiere, falling five tenths to a 3.1. That's still more than high enough to own 10pm though.

'The X-Factor' matched last week's 2.0 for FOX. The highly anticipated Cory Monteith tribute episode of 'Glee' went soaring into the stratosphere, rising a point and three tenths to a 2.9. Sadly, I think we all know that next week's number will go right back down to Earth. 'Parks & Recreation' matched last week's 1.2. 'Welcome to the Family' jumped straight off a cliff in week two, falling down to a 0.8. If this show isn't canceled by the end of the month, I'll be shocked.

'Sean Saves The World' is also on its way to canceltown, dropping four tenths to a 1.0. 'The Michael J. Fox Show' wasn't immune, plunging half a point to a 1.2. 'Parenthood' also garnered a 1.2, setting a new series low for the dramedy. Luckily for 'Parks,' 'Fox,' and 'Parenthood,' NBC Thursdays are in such shambles that they should be okay as long as they can stay above the dreaded 1.0 threshold. Finally, 'The Vampire Diaries' earned a 1.0 for The CW.

Cool, a prediction, I love predictions. We'll see if you're right FireJames. I don't know though, Glee or not, the NBC sitcoms have been steadily going down every week since they premiered.
