New 'Sleepy Hollow' Footage Reveals Plot Twist [SPOILERS]

Sleepy Hollow

So far, FOX's 'Sleepy Hollow' is proving itself to be the most delightful new show of the fall. It's absolutely insane, of course, and so packed full of mythology that it should collapse under its own weight. But somehow it works -- and really well at that.

But it's going to get even crazier.

At this weekend's New York Comic Con, producers showed the first half of an upcoming episode (though it was unclear if it was next week's episode, "John Doe," or one from later this season). The clip was a little spoilery, so be warned: plot details from the rest of the season follow.

The new footage shows Ichabod, after enjoying a baseball game with Abbie, visiting his wife Katrina's grave -- when he is suddenly kidnapped.

Speaking of Katrina, Ichabod's beloved wife is seen contacting Abbie in a vision because she can't see Ichabod after his kidnapping. She then delivers one of the show's trademark mythological infodumps -- the Headless Horseman is headed back to Sleepy Hollow, and Abbie has to find Ichabod so that he can stop him. She also adds that maybe the spell she put on Ichabod can be reversed -- but he'll need to be santified by a Sin-Eater.

That was the end of the clip, but there was something else even better revealed right after at the panel: that Sin-Eater has already been cast, and he'll be played by none other than John Noble ('Fringe').

Seriously, people, you have no reason not to be tuning in now. 'Sleepy Hollow' will air its next episode, "John Doe," Monday night at 9/8c on FOX.

After all the prompting for this show I came to it with the hope that it was maybe a 6 or even a 7. But to my pleasant supprize it was a 8.5 to 9.5 and was supprisingly well wrighten and executed to not only be a supernatural cop show, but to draw you in with the mystisisum and fantasy of it all. This will be a great show as long as the cast and crew can keep up the high standards.

Sleepy Hollow didn't appeal to me at all. I gave it away during the second episode
