It’s probably a good idea for actors on NBC’s ‘Community’ to branch out into different projects and gigs. With the show annually being shuffled around on the schedule, different cast members such as Chevy Chase and Donald Glover departing, and a temporary firing of showrunner Dan Harmon last season, it may not seem like the most stable job.
Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays pious and loveable Shirley on ‘Community,’ will make a guest appearance on ‘Welcome to the Family,’ according to an exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter. She will appear in an episode titled, “Junior Takes the Stand,” the sixth of the series.
Brown will play Mrs. Peck, an obnoxious neighbor to the Yoder family. She argues with Dan Yoder (Mike O’Malley) about everything that annoys her about the Yoder clan. In the episode, she complains about the “eye-sore” RV that the Yoders have parked in their driveway.
Brown has done a lot of small TV roles over the years. Last season she did a couple guest appearances on TV Land’s ‘Soul Man,’ the sitcom starring Cedric the Entertainer.
It should be noted that ‘Welcome to the Family’ did very low ratings numbers last week, and could be in peril of even making it to a sixth episode. Eva Longoria will hope to boost ratings with a guest appearance on an episode of the show tomorrow night.
Do you think Brown will be a fun addition to ‘Welcome to the Family’?
