Well, this is kind of unexpected, but anything can happen in fairytales and in Neverland, right?
ABC exclusively confirmed to Rolling Stone that rocker Marilyn Manson will indeed be joining the network’s hit series ‘Once Upon A Time.’
So, who will the famous musician play? It seems he’s joining the Disney-inspired show as the voice of the Shadow -- you know that creepy dark thing with bright eyes (left) that flies around “abducting” children and placing them in Neverland? The Shadow is described as “a character whose voice will give life to the very essence of Neverland.”
Sounds ominous, and as ‘OUAT’ fans already know, Neverland is a pretty mysterious and scary place, especially with the villainous Peter Pan lurking around.
"We've always been enormous fans of Marilyn Manson," Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, ‘OUAT’s creators and executive producers, revealed to Rolling Stone. "We wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl."
Well, for those who know Manson’s music, I don’t think it’ll be any issue for the singer to make people’s “skin crawl.” He sounds like the perfect choice for the chill-inducing Shadow, which is far from the traditional shadow ‘Peter Pan’ fans are familiar with.
You can expect Manson to make his debut in November. How do you feel about the rocker joining the ABC series?
‘Once Upon A Time’ airs Sundays at 8/7c.
