This will put a fire in your belly.
Over the past few months, Brewery Ommegang has partnered with HBO to put out a series of 'Game of Thrones' influenced beers. The first in the series, Iron Throne Blonde Ale, was released in the spring, while Take the Black Stout got its wide release earlier this fall. Now Brewery Ommegang has announced the third of these: Fire and Blood Red Ale.
It's not surprising that the brewery has chosen a Targaryen-influenced beer, considering how iconic the show's three dragons have become. And there they are on the beer's label. Or, rather, its labels; much like the Targaryen sigil has three heads, Fire and Blood Red Ale has three labels -- each depicting one of Daenerys's three fearsome dragons. They're much darker and theatrical than the more static labels of previous beers -- the one featuring Drogon's fire-breathing is particularly exciting.
The beer is being prepped for a spring 2014 launch, presumably to coincide with the premiere of the show's fourth season.

"The hottest news coming out of the Great American Beer Festival’s first session on Thursday, October 10 was the announcement of the third beer in the Game of Thrones-inspired series from Brewery Ommegang and HBO. Fire and Blood Red Ale, inspired by House Targaryen, follows Iron Throne Blonde Ale (Spring 2013) and Take the Black Stout (available now). While the beer won’t be released until Spring 2014, a sneak peak of artwork incorporated in the label was revealed and will feature the three Targaryen dragons: Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion.
Unlike any other collaboration in beer realm history, Ommegang and HBO are creating smash hit after smash hit with this series. Iron Throne Blonde Ale set an Ommegang sales record as their fastest selling limited edition beer to date. Take the Black Stout is breaking that record and the third GoT-inspired brew is sure to take it a step further.
Fire and Blood Red Ale will debut in Spring 2014 through Ommegang’s nationwide distributors. Stay tuned for tasting notes and additional information."
'Game of Thrones' will return for its fourth season in the spring.
