'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' has added another former 'LOST' star to its cast. Actress Zuleikha Robinson has joined the ABC spin-off series, according to TVLine.
Robinson, who was last seen in a recurring role last season on 'Homeland,' will be playing Amara, a powerful sorceress from Agrabah. She'll be appearing in the Jafar-centric Nov. 7 episode of the series, "The Serpent."
So who is Amara? The show's co-creator Adam Horowitz offered this hint regarding the character's itentity: “Jafar had to learn magic from someone….”
The press release for the episode appears to hint at where in the episode Amara will appear. "In flashback, we explore Jafar's origins and find out what he truly wants from Cyrus."
It looks like there will be a mini-'LOST' reunion on 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.' After all, Jafar is played by Naveen Andrews, who is also known for playing Sayid Jarrah on 'LOST'. On that show, he and Robinson's character Ilana shared a notable Season 5 storyline. Their relationship was an antagonistic one, and this time around it will be interesting to see the two working on the same side.
What do you think of Robinson's casting? Are you excited to see her join the world of Wonderland?
'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' will air its next episode, "Forget Me Not," Oct. 24 on ABC.
