Lifetime Revives ‘Drop Dead Diva’ for Season 6

Lifetime Revives ‘Drop Dead Diva’ for Season 6

Here’s some fabulous news for fans of Lifetime’s dramedy ‘Drop Dead Diva.’ The fierce legal series created by Josh Berman is coming back for Season 6, EW.com reported earlier today.

Lifetime has given order to 13 more episodes, which will air next year. As some may recall, ‘Diva’s current fifth season was dead on arrival. The network decided to pull the plug on the show focusing on lawyers, love and of course, drama, but after time, Season 5 was brought back to life.

The fifth season is currently airing, and the season finale will air Sunday, Nov. 3, which is titled “Jane’s Secret Revealed.” Will Grayson (Jackson Hurst) finally find out about Jane’s (Brooke Elliott) true identity? For those who don’t watch the show, Jane’s big secret is that she’s really Deb, Grayson’s former model lady love. After Deb died, she hit the “return” button and was then transported into Jane’s body, a plus-size lawyer. Yes, I know it sounds complicated, but all that matters is that these two finally unite as one. They’re destined for one another!

‘Drop Dead Diva’ also stars Margaret Cho, April Bowlby, Justin Deeley, Lex Medlin and Kate Levering.

What do you think of ‘Diva’s renewal? Are you excited to see more from Berman and the cast? Let us know in the comments.

‘Drop Dead Diva’ airs Sundays at 9/8c on Lifetime.

Very happy about this allthough i have found this season a bit weak compared to the previous ones and the whole Stacy/Owen plot is just too farfetched and ridiculous and really pisses me off how Jane is being painted as the bad guy in that plot. But really they need to finally get Jane and Grayson together, enough is enough.
