After last week’s news that ‘Suits’ earned a Season 4 renewal, here’s some exciting casting news for the hit legal series on USA Network. The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports that Jamey Sheridan will guest-star in the second half of Season 3.
Sheridan is suiting up to play Charles Van Dyke, of one of the firm’s original partners, when it was known as Gordon Schmidt Van Dyke. Is he going to have a nasty run-in with Jessica (Gina Torres)? After all, she is the one who kicked him to the curb, so she could gain some control within the firm. These lawyers are ruthless, but I sense some amazing future scenes between Torres and Sheridan. We’ll first see Sheridan in the 15th episode.
This isn’t the first time Sheridan has been spotted on the small screen. For ‘Homeland’ fans, they’ll recall he played Vice President William Walden for two seasons, in addition to portraying Oliver Queen’s father in The CW’s ‘Arrow,’ McGee’s father on ‘NCIS,’ and Richard Francis on ‘Smash.’
Sheridan joins a slew of other guest-stars who will all appear in ‘Suits’ 3B, including Gabriel Macht’s (‘Suits’ Harvey Specter) father Stephen Macht, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and ‘Lost’ vet Patrick Fischler.
‘Suits’ returns with new episodes in winter 2014, right after NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage wraps.
