Here's a nice piece of TV information to download. 'Almost Human' has landed another Hollywood star to their increasingly impressive cast by adding John Larroquette to its ranks in an exciting, recurring role.
So what exactly will the actor be doing in FOX's brand new, futuristic sci-fi action drama? The Emmy and Tony winner will portray Nigel, a genius roboticist who is described as "sympathetic, highly intelligent and a bit broken." A roboticist with a heart? Something tells us this guy's going to have quite an interesting backstory. (Like perhaps being a distant relative of the Tin Man? I kid, I kid.)
For those of you unfamiliar with the premise of the show, 'Almost Human' takes place in the year 2048, when an increase in crime requires every police officer to partner with an android. Karl Urban, Michael Ealy, Lili Taylor, Minka Kelly, Mackenzie Crook, and Michael Irby star in the hour-long series, set to launch over a two-night time period, Nov. 17 and 18.
Best known for his Emmy-winning role on the comedy series 'Night Court,' Larroquette has also starred in several other renowned TV shows, including 'The Practice,' 'Boston Legal,' and 'The John Larroquette Show.' Additionally, in 2011, he won a Tony for his Broadway debut in the revival of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' starring opposite Daniel Radcliffe. So it will be nice to see the actor stretch his acting chops once more.
'Almost Human' premieres on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8/7c on FOX. Will you be tuning in?
