There will be a new cop in town on 'The Good Wife' - as if the CBS legal drama needed any more, well, drama.
According to TVLine, actress Jordana Spiro joins the show as a humorous, intelligent, tough detective named Jenna. The character sounds awfully close to Spiro's popular character in the TBS comedy series, 'My Boys,' as well as her role on the short-lived drama 'The Mob Doctor,' so, yeah, the role sounds tailor-made for her.
Apparently Jenna, who’s described as “comfortable in her own skin (in fact, comfortable in a lot of people’s skin),” is not afraid to mix business with pleasure, and will even cross a few personal boundaries to obtain the information she wants. So, I think it's pretty safe to assume that "handcuffing" might have a couple of different meanings with this cop. The question is: just who will Jenna cozy up to? Will? Cary? Or maybe Kalinda? And how will a detective affect the world of Lockhart/Gardner? Or Florrick, Agos & Associates?
We can all tune in to see what Jenna will bring to the table when Spiro makes her first appearance (according to the trades, the character has the potential to recur) on Sunday Dec. 1, which happens to be the show's 100th episode.
It's sure to be an exciting one - hopefully just as exciting as last week's explosive episode.
'The Good Wife' airs Sundays on CBS 9/8c.
