A ‘Fringe’ alum and a ‘Breaking Bad’ actress will be contributing their acting skills to NBC’s hit supernatural drama ‘Grimm.’
According to TheWrap, Kirk Acevedo and Emily Rios will pop up on the series sometime in early 2014 as former soldiers.
The episode, titled “The Good Soldier,” revolves around Acevedo’s character, Ron Hurd. Hurd is described “a tough-guy type who went straight from serving in the army to working in home security. The skills he possesses will come in handy when a dark secret from his army days comes back to haunt him.”
Rios will also appear as Frankie Gonzales who is said to be “a hardened veteran who’s dealt admirably with a horrific trauma she incurred while serving. Strong-willed and tough-minded, she never backs down from a fight no matter how bad her odds may seem.”
Acevedo and Rios will definitely add a strong dynamic to an already talented cast. Acevedo is popular for his role as Charlie Francis on ‘Fringe’ and for playing Miguel Alvarez on ‘Oz.’ As for Rios, she is mostly recognized as Andrea Cantillo from ‘Breaking Bad,’ in addition to playing Adriana on FX’s ‘The Bridge.’
If you’re a fan of ‘Grimm,’ you can also expect to see ‘Angel’s Alexis Denisof and ‘Graceland’s Manny Montana guest-star during Season 3.
‘Grimm’ airs Fridays at 9/8c on NBC.
