Primetime Ratings, Tuesday, 11/5/13

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

NBC and CBS split the Tuesday victory for the seventh straight week.

'The Biggest Loser' bounced back from last week's season low, rising three tenths to a 2.1. 'The Voice' dropped yet again, but still remained the best rated program of the night. 'NCIS' went down a single tenth to a 2.9, while 'NCIS: LA' dipped two tenths to a 2.4. 'Person of Interest' matched last week's series low, and badly needs to move back to Thursdays.

'Dads' and 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' matched their last new episodes' numbers, while 'New Girl' rose two tenths to a 2.0. 'The Mindy Project' also rose two tenths, posting a 1.5. The shine seems to be leaving 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' which set a new series low of 2.5. Lead-out 'The Goldbergs' also hit a new low, and 'Trophy Wife' tumbled down three tenths to a 1.1.

A CMA special hosted by Robin Roberts drew a paltry 0.7. 'The Originals' and 'Supernatural' both dropped for The CW, garnering identical 0.9s. That said, when you're two of the highest rated shows on your network, you can afford to drop a little.

If it's any consolation guys, unless it dips below 2.0 (and I don't expect it to), 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' has absolutely zero chance of getting canceled any time soon. ABC knows full well that somebody like Netflix would just pick it up anyway.

Agreed. Plus we touched more on the mystery surrounding Coulson's return. Let's hope they can keep up the quality. 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' has been mostly "okay." I'd like to see it move to a steady "good."
