Once Upon A Time

CBS took Saturday, while NBC got the Sunday victory.

'Sunday Night Football's Cowboys/Saints match-up jumped up a point and a half from last week. An NFL overrun led to major delays for CBS' line-up, pushing everything back by about 45 minutes. '60 Minutes' dropped a single tenth to a 3.1. 'The Amazing Race' rose a tenth to a 2.2. 'The Good Wife' also rose a single tenth to a 1.7. 'The Mentalist' (which was pushed off the schedule entirely last week) earned a 1.4.

'The Simpsons' absolutely nose dived, falling six tenths to a 1.8. 'Bob's Burgers' dropped three tenths to a 1.5. 'Family Guy' plunged half a point to a 2.0. 'American Dad' tumbled down three tenths to a 1.6. In short, twas not a good night for the FOX network. 'America's Funniest Home Videos' dropped slightly for ABC, garnering a 1.3.

'Once Upon A Time' fell two tenths, tying its previous season low of 2.1. 'Revenge' dipped by four tenths to a 1.3, setting a new series low. 'Revenge' is rapidly nearing the cancel/renew bubble. 'Betrayal's one week gain evaporated; the struggling freshman drama dropped back down to a 0.8 and is now a super duper lock for cancellation.

Yes, Revenge is an example of a good premise being extended past beyond its natural conclusion. They keep morphing it and reshaping it in order to keep it going, moving the goal post, to the point that its meaningless.

It's time for Revenge to retire. The writers are dragging out this "revenge" like it was a daytime soap.
