TNT Sets Winter Return Date for 'Rizzoli & Isles' and 'Perception'

Rizzoli & Isles

Winter is right around the corner, and if you're TNT, that means it's time to solve some crimes. The network today set the early 2014 return date for two of its original dramas.

First up, long-running procedural 'Rizzoli & Isles' will commence airing of its remaining fourth season episodes on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. The Angie Harmon/Sasha Alexander fronted cop show has been on hiatus since Sep. 10, with four episodes still to come in Season 4. 'R&I' has been a ratings winner since the beginning, and remains one of TNT's most dependable draws. A 15 episode fifth season has already been ordered for next summer.

Perception

Next up is 'Perception,' which stars Eric McCormack as a mentally ill college professor that is recruited by a former student to help the FBI crack some of their more unusual cases. The series first debuted in summer 2012, with one and a half seasons being shown so far. The final four episodes of 'Perception's second season will begin airing on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 10 p.m, directly following 'Rizzoli.' This furthers  the successful partnership that the two shows have enjoyed so far. After all, there's no need to fix what isn't broken. Much like its lead-in, 'Perception' has already been granted a 15 episode third season, scheduled to begin next summer.
