NBC Nabs Brooke Shields to Guest Star on 'The Michael J. Fox Show'

Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields is making her way back to NBC...as a cougar? According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress has recently booked a multiple-episode arc on 'The Michael J. Fox Show,' where she will have what sounds like a romantic involvement with Michael's on-screen, 19-year-old son. (Why hello, Mrs. Robinson!)

Shields will play Deborah, a smart and beautiful single mother with a sweet and nerdy personality who doesn't quite have it all together. (This might explain the whole hanging-out-with-a-barely-legal-boy thing.)

During her three-episode stay — which is scheduled to start sometime in 2014 — Shields' character will meet Ian Henry (Conor Romero) at a ballroom dance class, where the two will develop an apparently unmistakable chemistry. Make of that what you will.

But what will dear old dad have to say about this? We can only imagine — which is all the more reason to tune in, wouldn't you say?

Some of Shields' most notable TV credits include 'Suddenly Susan,' 'Lipstick Jungle,' 'The Middle,' 'Hannah Montana,' and 'Super Fun Night.' She also had a recurring role on what became the final season of Lifetime's 'Army Wives.'

Are you excited about Shields' guest star role? Do you find the whole cougar concept to be edgy or inappropriate? Sound off on your thoughts in the comments below!

'The Graduate' 'The Michael J. Fox Show' airs on Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
