Earlier today, we reported that Dee Wallace and Chris Mulkey are joining ‘Grimm’ as Monroe’s (Silas Weir Mitchell) parents. Well, we have some more Wesen family news, as we’ve just learned that Bryar Freed-Golden and Laura Faye Smith have officially been cast as Rosalee’s (Bree Turner) mother and sister, respectively.
Freed-Golden and Smith, who both had small parts on ‘Leverage,' will portray Gloria and Deetta. So far, we’ve only met Rosalee’s brother, during Turner’s introductory episode. Now, we’ll get a more thorough understanding of just who Rosalee is.
Recently, Turner revealed details about Rosalee’s mother and sister directly to TVRage, “We just finished a really huge day, yesterday, for Episode 11, where you meet my mother and my sister for the first time, and Monroe meets them.”
She continued, “It’s one of my favorite episodes I’ve been able to do, because it really recalls back to Rosalee’s introductory episode, when you find out about her brother and you find out that she had an addiction problem that she struggled with for many years. [She] was sort of off the grid for seven years, and you get basically all the answers as to, “Where was I?” [and] “What was I doing?,” in this [episode].”
As noted, Gloria and Deetta will pop up in Episode 11, in addition to Monroe’s parents making their first appearance in Episode 12.
