Jason Ritter Returning to ‘Parenthood’

Jason Ritter Returning to ‘Parenthood’

Hallelujah! If you’re a fan of Mr. Cyr on ‘Parenthood,’ then your dreams have been answered. TVLine confirms that Jason Ritter will be returning as the highly adored Mark Cyr on NBC's hit drama.

The last time we saw Ritter as Mark, he and TV love Sarah Braverman (played by ‘Gilmore Girls’ alum Lauren Graham) were on the outs, (sob!). Remember when Sarah chose Hank (Ray Romano) over Mark? Yeah, so do I, and my heart still breaks.

For those fans that were holding out for some type of reunion, you can let out a big “woot woot!," as Ritter will reprise his role in Episode 19 set to air on April 24.

As TVLine reports, “Mark has a chance encounter with one of the show’s characters." Now, said character might not be Sarah, but it’s kismet that they bump into one another at some point -- right?

So far, Ritter will only appear in one episode, but let’s keep positive thoughts that he’ll return for more!

Ritter was set to star in the new FOX comedy ‘Us & Them,’ alongside Graham’s former TV daughter Alexis Bledel. Ever since the series was cut back in episodes (and basically canceled), Ritter is now free for some ‘Parenthood’ action. As much as I’d like to see Ritter star in his own comedy, you'll hear no complaints from me.

Are you excited to see Ritter’s Mark Cyr back on ‘Parenthood’?

The NBC drama airs Thursdays at 10/9c.

I want Sarah Ramos back, the show was so much better with her in it!
