Its “Motown Week” on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and competitors are getting ready for some stiff competition.
Derek Hough pledges for a, “Clean, classy foxtrot” with dance partner Maria Menounos after last weeks controversal kiss.
While Hough and Menounos will be dancing the foxtrot along with couples Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, couples Roshon Fegan and Chelsea Highlighter and William Levy and Cheryl Burke are dancing the rumba. The quick step will be danced by couple Jaleel White and Kym Johnson. Then we’ll see Gladys Knight and Tristan McManus tackling the jive, while Katherine Jenkins and Markn Ballas will samba.
In true Motown spirit, legends will perform live including The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and Martha Reeves along with the Harold Wheeler Orchestra.
Then following all the couples individual performances the group will hit the dance floor for a “Motown Marathon.” They’ve done a marathon in past seasons and it works by the judges eliminating couples until only four remain. The criteria for Motown Marathon are those who show the best classic Motown era dance moves. Each of the remaining four couples earn additional points depending on the place: first place receives ten points, second place receives nine points, third place receives eight and fourth place receives seven points.
With the competition getting harder each week and expect Tuesday's duel to be an intense battle.
Make sure and tune into tonight for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ for “Motown Week,” Monday, April 22, 8p.m. E/PT on ABC.
