ABC Releases Midseason Schedule

Revenge

ABC released its full midseason schedule today, and it features premiere dates for several new shows, along with one rather surprising timeslot change.

First of all, ABC's previously reported plans for dramas 'Once Upon A Time,' 'Revenge,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' and 'Scandal' haven't changed. All will begin extended winter breaks in December, and return about two months later. 'Once Upon A Time in Wonderland's season will also be split, although the show taking over its timeslot has changed. One ABC drama not airing under this structure is 'Nashville,' which will continue airing new episodes throughout January and February.

Here is the full schedule for show returns and debuts:

Thursday, Jan. 2:

8 p.m. - 'The Taste' Season 2 (Replaces 'Once Upon A Time in Wonderland' and 'Grey's Anatomy' during their winter breaks, timeslot was originally going to be filled by new reality series 'The Quest,' which has now been delayed until the summer)

10 p.m. - 'The Assets' (New eight-part limited series based on the real life experiences of CIA officer Sandy Grimes, replaces 'Scandal' until Feb. 27)

Monday, Jan. 6:

8 p.m. - 'The Bachelor' Season 18 (Takes over for 'Dancing with the Stars')

Tuesday, Jan. 7:

10 p.m. - 'Killer Women' (New drama about an elite female Texas Ranger, played by Tricia Helfer)

Suburgatory

Wednesday, Jan. 15

8:30 p.m. - 'Suburgatory' Season 3 (Assumes the timeslot after 'Back in the Game' ends)

Wednesday, Feb. 26

9:30 p.m. - 'Mixology' (New comedy about a group of single people meeting at a Manhattan bar called 'The Mix,' takes place over the course of a single night, assumes the timeslot after 'Super Fun Night' wraps up its season)

Resurrection

Sunday, Mar. 9

9 p.m. - 'Resurrection (New 'Les Revenants' style "zombie" drama about people who return from the dead, seemingly unchanged since the day that they died)

10 p.m. - 'Revenge' (As you might have noticed, 'Resurrection' is inhabiting 'Revenge's usual 9 p.m. timeslot, requiring the veteran drama to make the jump to 10 p.m. following its winter break)

Tuesday, Mar. 11

10 p.m. - 'Mind Games' (Unusual new drama about two brothers who co-run a problem solving firm, stars Christian Slater and Steve Zahn, formerly titled 'Influence)

'Resurrection is inhabiting Revenge's timeslot' aptly named show in which Revenge needs to do before it gets the chop!
