Christopher Lloyd Headed to 'The Michael J. Fox Show'

Lloyd and Fox in 'Back to the Future'

Great Scott! 'Back to the Future' fans are in for a treat in 2014. Christopher LLoyd, best known for his portrayal of time traveling scientist Dr. Emmett Brown in the aforementioned film series, will soon be reuniting with 'BTTF' co-star Michael J. Fox on the latter's new sitcom.

LLoyd is set to play the eccentric (this is Christopher Lloyd, of course he's eccentric) principal of the high school where Mike's wife Annie teaches. When a disagreement puts Mike and LLoyd's character at odds, the resulting battle threatens to create 1.21 gigawatts of rage in both men. I'd say that the conflict is sure to get heavy, but I'm being told that I've exceeded my daily allotment of 'Back to the Future' references. LLoyd's appearance is scheduled to air sometime in the spring.

'The Michael J. Fox Show' hasn't exactly worked out like NBC hoped when they won a very competitive bidding war for the property, one which included an automatic 22 episode first season pickup. The Peacock naturally assumed that the TV return of one of America's most beloved comic actors would be a situation where they would have to buy dump trucks for all their money. Sadly, that has not been the case, with the latest episode of the MJF show only drawing a 0.9 in the coveted 18-49 demo. Still, at least we get to see cool things like this before the ax likely gets dropped.

Are you excited to see Christopher LLoyd and Michael J. Fox reunite? Care to take a guess as to how many 'Back to the Future' references the episode will contain?

Haha, very good one, Dave! :)

Personally watched only the very first episode but sadly it didn't catch on me at all.

Christopher Lloyd would definitely do the trick though. And at age 75. Oh my. Amazing that this is even happening. Only sad thing is that the show isn't called Back to the Future...! ;)

I'll continue the BTF quotes for you, it would look like this show needs a jolt of lightning to rejuvenate it, but at the moment i dont think the ratings will reach 88 (mph),because if it did, NBC would love to go back in time to forget this.
