‘Arrow’ Welcomes ‘Spartacus’ Alum as Ra’s al Ghul’s Daughter

Things are going to get a bit messy on The CW’s hit action series ‘Arrow.’ The series, starring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen aka the Arrow of Starling City, is welcoming ‘Spartacus’ alum Katrina Law as the infamous Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter, TVGuide.com exclusively reports.

Law is joining the ‘Arrow’ cast as Nyssa al Ghul aka Ra’s al Ghul’s “other progeny.” She is described as, “a powerful member of the League of Assassins who comes to Starling City in pursuit of The Canary (Caity Lotz).”

For those who don’t know, in the comics Ra’s al Ghul (famously played by Liam Neeson in ‘Batman Begins’), had a love child named Nyssa, who was also the half-sister of Talia al Ghul (Marion Cotillard’s character in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’).

Apparently, rumors have been circling that Summer Glau’s character, Isabel Rochev, may be Talia. Now, that’s just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed...yet.

This isn’t the first time a ‘Spartacus’ alum has showed up to ‘Arrow.’ Manu Bennett currently plays Oliver’s island friend Slade Wilson, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson appeared last week as Amanda Waller.

Law will pop up later this season in the 13th episode titled “Heir to the Demon.” Are you excited to see Law’s performance as Nyssa?

‘Arrow’ airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.

I'm too confused to comment, period, let alone comment on material I haven't yet viewed. I'm not really liking Arrow so much this season. It's weak, weak, weak. In my opinion, Too many dumb decisions are being made about the show. (When it threatens to get interesting - Flash showing up for example - someone notices and stomps on it.) I don't like the appearance of certain characters (who came, disappeared, and are back). Move on for goodness sake. A couple of other characters are just plain annoying. Felicity is not only annoying, but so is the writing around her character. Of course, It's all writing. But, the viewers don't pick the writers - in fact. It's take what you get, whether you like it or not.

Arrow kills. He doesn't kill. Thor has superhuman stregth. He doesn't. The veins around Superman's eyes go dark blue and stand out when he uses xray vision. And they don't stand out when he uses xray vision. And on and on. They can't tell a story because they can't even settle on the characters. It's unpleasant chaos. (Pleasant chaos? Supernatural perhaps.)
