Last month, it was announced ‘Dallas’ would be returning this February for Season 3. Well, you can’t have a new season of the reboot classic without some juicy scoop, and thanks to TV Guide, here’s what we can expect from our favorite Southfork characters.
According to executive producer Cynthia Cidre, the season premiere begins with Bobby (Patrick Duffy) visiting the graves of J.R., Miss Ellie and Jock at the Ewing cemetery where he says, “I guess I'm the only one left now” and "I hope not to disappoint you.”
This season has a lot to live up to, especially now that Larry Hagman’s J.R. is gone. So, what can ‘Dallas’ fans look forward to? Well, what about someone getting pregnant, a death, someone getting married at Southfork [Lucy (Charlene Tilton), Ray (Steve Kanaly) and Afton (Audrey Landers) will all return] and a shooting.
That surely sounds enough to fill an entire season, but wait, there’s more! It seems Bobby and Ann’s (Brenda Strong) marriage will be tested. Will he find comfort in the arms of another woman aka with a new character or with Jenna Wade (played by Priscilla Presley)?
Speaking of finding comfort, it also looks like Bobby’s son Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe) will be hooking up with AnnaLynne McCord’s character named Heather, “Christopher stumbles upon Heather in a fight with another ranch hand, who turns out to be her ex-husband,” executive producer Michael M. Robin reveals.
Per usual Ewing fashion, John Ross (Josh Henderson) continues his infidelities with Emma (Emma Bell), which Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) soon learns of. Not only does John Ross’ cheating on Pamela/Rebecca (Julie Gonzalo) cause Sue Ellen to reflect on J.R.’s affairs, but it also pushes her to drink. Gray “is into” the possible relapse plot, which leads to “a midseason cliffhanger similar to one of the original series' memorable season enders.”
If that’s not enough spoilery goodness, the ‘Dallas’ audience will also finally meet the “new big bad” Joaquin, who was mentioned at the end of last season. Robin notes, “He will be helping Elena (Jordana Brewster) on her revenge path.”
