If one were to utter the phrase, "who's your daddy?" to Ichabod Crane, the protagonist on FOX's 'Sleepy Hollow,' we finally have an answer for them: Victor Garber, son.
Garber, one of TV's beloved humans and one spectacular Canadian, will play the eccentric investigator's father in at least one episode this season, according to TVLine. Though details are sparse, we can guess that Garber will appear in flashbacks, but we'd really like it if that time travel thing could work so that more people from the past could appear in real-time. Of course, it wouldn't actually be "real-time" for them, although it certainly would be fun to watch them marvel at Twitter and all our weird modern stuff.
The casting news coincides nicely with the Nov. 25 episode in which Ichabod reminisced about his father, so it'll be great to finally put a face to the memory. According to exec-producer Ken Olin, the show often weighs the pros and cons of casting a known actor for guest parts, but who could resist Victor "I'm sorry I couldn't build you a better ship, Rose" Garber?
Garber played a different kind of paternal figure on ABC's 'Alias,' and also appeared on 'Web Therapy,' as well as 'The Republic of Doyle,' in his home and native land (that's Canada, by the way). He'll next be seen on 'The Good Wife' as a judge.
'Sleepy Hollow' airs Mondays on FOX at 9/8c.
