'The Good Wife' is about to get really Goode. And we do mean that quite literally. TVLine reports that English actor Matthew Goode will be joining the fifth season of the Sunday night CBS drama in a major recurring role.
So what exactly will this new character be up to? Specific details remain pretty scarce, but according to the reports, Goode will play a prosecutor who befriends Alicia (played by Julianna Margulies) after experiencing a crisis of faith that results in him charting a new course for his career. Sounds pretty Goode...I mean...good, right? (Okay, okay, I'll stop!)
Either way, it sounds like this guy could have a really interesting backstory and add something new to an already incredible cast. His first episode is slated to air sometime in the spring.
Goode comes to the network after just recently wrapping production on the 'Pride and Prejudice' spin-off 'Death Comes to Pemberly,' which will air on PBS next year. So get ready for a healthy dose of British charm!
