Bret Michaels is making his move from reality television to scripted television. As first reported by EW.com, the ‘80s rocker will star in an episode of NBC’s ‘Revolution’ as himself, or “a post-apocalyptic version of himself.”
Details on the former Poison singer and ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ winner’s appearance are slim, but fans can expect to see Michaels perform an acoustic version of Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” It is also known he will come in contact with one of the show’s characters, but we have yet to find out who.
“Bret is truly a great guy. I’m a huge fan of his music and I’m thrilled he’s appearing on ‘Revolution,’” creator Eric Kripke said in a statement.
As we all know, this isn’t the singer’s first time on the small screen. In addition to appearing alongside Donald Trump, Michaels is known for starring in his own VH1 reality show ‘Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.’
You can catch the rocker’s episode in 2014. What do you think of the NBC drama booking Michaels for a gig? Are you excited to see him strut his stuff as himself? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments.
Last week, ‘Revolution’ aired its fall finale on NBC, but it will return in January with several new episodes.
