NBC and CBS split the Wednesday victory.
The annual 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center special rose slightly from last year, earning a 2.3. An SNL Christmas special did a little better, posting a 2.6. 'Survivor' jumped up four tenths to a 2.6, recovering its Thanksgiving Eve losses.
All of ABC's comedies went plummeting downward. 'The Middle fell four tenths to a season low of 1.9. 'Back in the Game' dipped to a 1.4. 'Modern Family' decreased two tenths to a 3.2, its own season low. It should be noted that 'Family' still garnered the best scripted demos of the night, despite the loss.
'Super Fun Night' set a new series low of 1.6. 'Nashville' was the only ABC program to not take a hit, matching its last original's 1.6. 'The X-Factor' rose two tenths to a 1.4. 'Arrow' climbed up to a 1.2, one of its best numbers in awhile. 'The Tomorrow People' drew its usual 0.6.
