Anyone else a little worried that this is starting to become a pattern? Less than 24 hours ago, ABC revealed it would be trimming four episodes from 'Scandal's third season, and now FOX has evidently decided to piggyback off that very same idea in regards to its freshman sitcom 'Dads.'
According to TVLine, the network — which had previously picked up the comedy for a full 22-episode season earlier this fall — has now opted to reduce the order to a mere 19. Why? Sources claim that it's a simply case of overbooking on FOX's part.
It makes sense, really, especially when you consider the network's rather jam-packed midseason schedule, which includes the launch of several new comedies, such as 'Enlisted' and 'Surviving Jack.' It seems to be the only explanation that fits, right? (We highly doubt pregnancy is the cause of this one...you know...given that the show is pretty much centered around a bunch of dudes.)
Regardless, we're now getting less of both 'Scandal' AND 'Dads.' What's next?! We'd be lying if we said all of this wasn't starting to make us a little paranoid. Could other beloved shows fall under the episode chopping block? Sound off on your thoughts and/or fears in the comments below!
'Dads' airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on FOX.
