Just because we're in the thick of the TV dead zone known as December, doesn't mean it's too early for spring premiere announcements. To that end, cable powerhouse USA elected to begin the morning by releasing the return dates for two of its more popular original series.
First up is 'Suits.' The Gabriel Macht/Patrick J. Adams fronted legal drama will return to finish its 16 episode third season on Thursday, Mar. 6 at 9/8c. Yep, Thursday, not Tuesday. After trying the show out on Tuesdays for the first half of Season 3, USA has opted to move 'Suits' back to its old Thursday night home. The drama will serve as a lead-in to the new Denis Leary produced EMT comedy 'Sirens.'
Meanwhile, veteran comedy 'Psych' will begin its 10 episode eighth (and possibly final) season on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 9/8c. Although, as most fans are no doubt already aware, Shawn and Gus will be presenting the series' faithful with a special Christmas gift this year. The two-hour 'Psych: The Musical' special airs this Sunday, Dec. 15 at 9/8c, so fans should make sure to set their DVRs.
Six more episodes remain in 'Suits' third season, and a fourth season has already been picked up. 'Psych's status beyond Season 8 remains unclear. As previously reported, 'White Collar' returns to finish its fifth season on Thursday, Jan. 9.
